Tuesday February 21st!

Standard

I hope everyone had a wonderful 3-day weekend for President’s Day!

This morning they are in Spanish.

When they come back we will be starting double-digit subtraction. This is a difficult skill so practice at home too!

We will be doing sentence starters then phonics.

They will go to Lunch and then we will go to Jiji.

We will be working on number stories in math and then they will go to 2nd recess.

We will finish the day with D.E.A.R. time, talking about nouns, verbs, and adjectives, and a read aloud.

HW: Spelling words, baggy books, and finding a picture of maps.

About skvincent

I am so excited to be at Ogden teaching first grade. Our first week has been so great, and I am looking forward to working with them throughout the year. The first grade team will be working closely together to make sure we cover all of the important standards of first grade. This will help to make an easy and successful transition into second grade. This is my second year at Ogden, and I am thrilled to be a part of our incredible staff. I graduated from The University of California, Irvine, where I had the opportunity to teach in a first grade classroom. I am also currently working on my Masters of the Arts in Education. I love running on the lakefront and cooking healthy meals. I hope to incorporate this into the classroom as I was part of a program called Fit To Learn. This program taught the importance of teaching students about living a healthy lifestyle.
