We started the day with Spanish.
They are now finishing up their morning work and we will soon begin sentence starters.
We will then move into a phonics and do a review of the “s” sounds and spellings.
They will then go to lunch, we will go to Jiji.
After Jiji we will be working on math and tens frames.
They will go to 2nd recess and we will finish the day with Student of the Week and a read aloud.

This morning we worked on double-digit addition.
We then did sentence starters.
They went to Health class.
We did phonics and worked on the “s” sound spelled “cy”, “ce”, “ci”, and “cy”.
They are at lunch and then they will go to Library.
After library we will work on math facts and “turn-around” problems.
They will have 2nd recess and then we will finish the day reading a script for The Tortoise and the Hair. We are going to do a readers theatre and they will practice reading and then present it to the class.

This morning we worked on addition and I read a story about a Tooth Fairy.
They took their spelling test and are now working on sentence starters.
We will then work on phonics and focus on the “s” sound spelled “cy”.
We will then work on sequencing.
They will have Lunch and then Art.
We will then be working on fact families.
They will go to 2nd recess.
We will end the day with D.E.A.R. time and we will read a Time for Kids and do an activity.

This morning we worked on addition of 2-digit numbers with re-grouping. This is a new topic for most students so you can work on it at home too!
They are now in Health.
When they return we will be doing phonics.
They will go to lunch and then they have Library.
After library we will be working with tape measures in math.
They will have 2nd recess.
We will be ending the day with a group read of Hurricanes from their First Reader and then I will be doing a read aloud.

This morning we worked on addition facts.
We had Mrs. Naadia come and teach a wonderful lesson about the Oneness of Humanity and Unity in Diversity. Each student then used their picture to put in the center of a flower they made. Together they will represent that a garden of differences is beautiful.
We are now working on sentence starters.
We will then do phonics on the back carpet.
They will go to lunch and then they have Art.
After Art we will be working with tape measures.
They then have 2nd recess.
After 2nd recess we will be reading a story about hurricanes and then end the day reading some of our favorite books from home!
This morning they worked on their addition facts and wrote a story.
We worked on the long “e” when it is spelled “ea” and “ee”
They are now in gym and then will go to Lunch.
After lunch we will go to Jiji and then do our book talk where everyone will talk about their favorite book they brought from home.
They will go to 2nd recess and then we will read a story called Snow is Good. We are going to work on a new comprehension skill: Sequencing.
We will finish the day with being able to read books from their classmates and I will read a couple of my favorite poems from Shel Silverstein.
HW: Study for Spelling Test, follow directions in baggy books, bring in a picture of themselves that we will be able to cut out for an activity tomorrow.

We will then have a read aloud and D.E.A.R time (drop everything and read)
They will go to lunch and then to Music.
When they return we will work on measuring.
At the end of the day we will be doing centers.
HW: Choose one of your favorite books, read it to someone, fill out the worksheet, and bring both to school tomorrow. We will be doing a book talk and I will put together a list of everyone’s favorite books to send home to the class.
