Happy Monday Everyone!

It is so nice to see all of my students after our Thanksgiving break! I hope everyone had a safe, fun, and relaxing week off!

*On Mondays, our class will now have a Health/P.E. class with Mr. F the Gym teacher. They will continue gym on Thursdays too. The time will be from 9:40-10:25.

This morning we wrote about what everyone did over our nice break and then they shared it to the class. We read a decodable book that focused on the “mb” ending.

They are with Mr. F now.

When they return we will work on phonics in the back and focus on the “shwa” sound. This is when any of the vowels makes a  short “u” sound. Example: Label, ahead, money.

They will read a decodable book that focuses on this sound and they will bring it home tonight, so make sure to read it with them.

After Phonics they will go to Lunch and then Library.

After Library we will work on addition and ways to begin to memorize specific addition facts.

After math they will go to 2nd recess and then we will do Student of the Week and a read aloud.

HW: Spelling worksheet with the Spelling Words for the week. Please study and practice them with your son/daughter.

**Please also be working on your Animal Habitat Diorama. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to email me.

I also sent home a Scholastic Book order today. Please look through and order any books your son/daughter are interested in! They make great gifts for them for the holidays and it gets them excited about reading. You can bring in a check or order them online. Our code is HVT24.
